Is my iPod enough for my event?

In today's ever evolving technological world it is quite easy to think, I don't need a DJ, I have an iPod. Whereas, iPods are wonderful devices they cannot take the place of a qualified professional entertainer - the DJ. Anybody can play music, but a truly great event needs someone to orchestrate the many different and sometimes complicated aspects of the event. From the introduction to the farewell song - You want your event to run effortlessly and be an occasion that your guests will remember for years to come.


Do you supply all of your own equipment? And what kind of equipment is it?

Yes. We own and maintain all our equipment. We use only professional, industry standard DJ equipment. Each system is enclosed in a console and includes lights and a wireless microphone.


Can we meet our emcee/host? And how many times?

Absolutely! In fact we encourage meeting with your entertainer a few times. We want to make sure that you feel comfortable with your choice of entertainer. You will receive your entertainer's direct number, so you can reach them day or night because we know that you never know when an idea or question will hit.


Will you help in coordinating our event?

This is where we shine. We realize that there can be a lot going on during your event, and we want to make certain that everything flows the way you would like. So, we help host and navigate the event by working with your caterer, photographer, and other professionals to keep all your guests entertained and involved. From pouring champagne to arranging special dances, we contribute quite a bit too how smoothly things flow.


Do you play requests?

Sure Do! Each client receives a Songlist, and many clients go over the list and will underline or make special notations of must-play songs. We also play requests from your guests at the event. Each system is equipped with over 10,000 songs, so we are sure to have a wide range for you and your guests to make sure the party never stops.


What if you don't have a song we want?

It is unusual that we would not have a song you request. We even have many of the same songs performed by different artists to ensure you hear the recording you want. This is one of the main reasons we promote meeting with your disc jockey ahead of time. This gives us ample time to make sure we have all your special requests.


Do you take breaks?

No. From the time the Disc Jockey begins, there are no breaks in the entertainment.


How far in advance do we need to book?

System 3 Entertainment can book one to three years in advance; on average we are booked 6 to 12 months ahead of time. By booking this far in advance, we find this allows ample meeting time for the client to feel comfortable with their entertainer and timeline of events for the evening. Understanding that some events can be last minute, we will do our best to provide outstanding entertainment for every event.


When will you arrive to set up our event? And do we pay extra for that?

We will be at the event site between 1-2 hours ahead of start time. This allows us to properly set up and test all equipment. You will never find one of our entertainers arriving just a few moments before your event begins to ask you and your guests to wait while the equipment is set up. That is unacceptable. And no, you do not pay for the original set up or tear down, that is done on our dime.


Will my deposit hold my date?

Definitely! Once we receive your deposit (reservation fee), we reserve your date on our books. In fact, this is the only way to reserve a date. Once you reserve a date with us, that date is yours. We never over-extend our bookings on any given date.
